The aim of the game is to raise funds and awareness of Brain damage through a charity Bike Build  in 2021 and Bike Rally around the UKt  visiting verious places on route in 2022.

The challenge is divided  into two parts. First, I will be looking for donations of bike parts in order to build a bike to ride on a Rally in 2022 . This will be put through the relevant testing and be 100%  road legal for the ride,  with a view to selling the bike  at the end of the challenge to raise further funds for the Headway.  The second part of the challenge  will be to ride a route around the UK . I will have a backup crew which will include two additional riders who, if needs must, will carry me as pillion passenger should the need arise , to allow me to complete all the stages on two wheels.  I am hoping to be joined by other  members of the biking community, from all over the UK, on different legs of the Rally , in support of the cause and to help highlight the need for support when the unthinkable (life changing brain damage) happens .

 

Having suffered Brain Damage in 2008  this challenge is not only testing my ability to ride still, but also gives me a purpose to keep going at a time in life when it would be so easy just to give up (the experience of the Coved 19  pandemic with no immune system due to radiotherapy is enough to drive anyone crazy :) ).

Challenge Update: Due to a change in personal circumstance & damage to the bike whilst in transport, It has been decided to end the challenge without the rally. WE are still waiting for a final figure raised with everyones help.
